This guy is in danger – the ACO there euths often. I got my old kees,
Alvy, from there. He was marked by the ACO as “mean” – and too sick to live.
He’s now living with me – very gentle and very healthy (after a 5-day stay at
my vets when he came in). Can someone please help Aspen? I will spring and transport as far as I can.

【Third posting】
Just heard from the director of volunteers at the shelter and she said
Aspen is very sweet and friendly with everyone. Can’t someone help this guy? I
am begging. A volunteer can easily get him to Lexington and I can transport
this weekend.

Thanks.

Urgent: Keeshond mix needs rescue

February 3rd, 2010

From Keesmom’s blog:

I am writing to say that there appears to be an elderly Keeshond mix being held at the high-kill Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Center. ‘MADACC’ does not have an adoption process and euthanizes the majority of its animals after their stray hold, the only dogs that get out are the ones that rescues are able to take. Because of this, I am hoping that someone in keeshond rescue will be able to help this girl! She has been there since the 25th of January so her time is VERY limited!

The shelter is calling her a “sheltie mix” but she looks more Keesie to me than anything else! Her ID# at the shelter is A202216. I sure hope you will be able to help this girl!
Thank you
