Keeshond Mix Needs Adoption

July 24th, 2009

This girl (Keeshond-Chow mix in previous post) was visited by  Mid South Keeshond Rescue and determined to be mostly Keeshond.  She has already found a foster home but still needs to be adopted into a forever home.  You can contact  Mid South Keeshond Rescue if you would like to adopt her. http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/TN85.html -        See also previous post.

Maybe we can do for her what we did for Beau (look at older posts on this blog about Beau, previously known as Dash).

This little dog was a purebred Keeshond, and a boy! He was also heartworm positive. Sadly, he passed away just days after being rescued. He was in the loving care of a wonderful young foster mom, who is devastated by his passing. He was just too weak to go on. I think when he finally felt all of that love she had to give him, he was able to just relax and let go. It’s so vitally important to give heartworm preventive. Heartworm disease is nearly 100% preventable if one dose a month is given. His name was River. Rest in Peace, Little One.
